During the current Coronavirus Pandemic we remain active in the community, please do browse through our website to keep updated and hear our daily reflections from Kim, our minister, and view our local online services. Should you require any assistance or someone to chat to during these difficult times, please do not hesitate to contact one of us.
Since its formation in 1854, Effingham Methodist Church has always been a small & friendly congregation situated in Effingham village between Leatherhead & East Horsley on the A246.
Sunday services include Morning Worship & Holy Communion. We endeavour to deepen our faith not only through our services but also by regular discussion, study & prayer meetings. We encourage participation in local activities & getting to know our neighbours in order that we may better serve the local community. We have excellent links with the local Anglican & Catholic Churches & together organise various events during the year.
The Chapel is an attractive flint building with a well-kept garden & is well known locally for its warm welcome to visitors & for fellowship & cake after services.
We are a community of Christian people committed to serving the village of Effingham and would welcome anyone who wants to be part of a church or explore what the Christian faith might mean to them.
This website gives you some ideas of the activities we are involved in and we would warmly invite you to join us at any of them. We work in close partnership with our friends in the other churches in the village and you will see that many of them are shared. If you would like to contact someone about our church or any issues connected with the Christian faith please contact Rev. Kim Plumpton.
